YEN Networking Event - The BeerHouse - June 2015

YEN is proud to be bringing you another round of networking when we visit North Parade in Bradford. The Yorkshire Enterprise Network and Telegraph & Argus will be visiting The BeerHouse for the first time. The BeerHouse offers craft beers, Yorkshire cask ales and home-cooked food while creating a European cafe feel.

The aim of these networking events is to further the growth of business partnerships within Bradford, Leeds and the whole of Yorkshire, building strong and beneficial connections between local and regional businesses. Come along for the evening and enjoy a FREE drinks reception, fantastic canapés and renowned keynote speakers with friendly and informal networking in a relaxed environment.

The event will be held on Thursday 30th July 2015 at 24 North Parade, Independent Quarter, BD1 3HT, Bradford

Drinks reception and registration begins at 6:00pm.

Sheraz Malik | Director of the Yorkshire Enterprise Network

Introduction to the evening

Sheraz started YEN with aim is to create a network of businesses throughout the whole of Yorkshire with a view to creating and maintaining reciprocal working relationships with all associated business groups. The Yorkshire Enterprise Network aims to keep true to its values of conducting business with professionalism and honesty to support businesses within the local community and Yorkshire.

Jane Vincent | Managing Director of Candelisa People and star of 'The Job Centre'

Speaking About: The experiences of making a TV show and it's impact on the business

Jane is an award winning business women who has built two recruitment agencies from scratch. Jane was also the Co Founder of Positive Bradford. Recently, she allowed Channel 4 into her business to film a fly on the wall documentary about Candelisa People, its candidates and its clients. Named 'The Job Centre', it was aired in May and June in four separate one hour specials.

David Wilson | Director of Bradford UNESCO City of Film

Speaking About: How the creative industries sector contributes to the city

Born and educated in Bradford, David celebrates Bradford’s rich film heritage with his work in the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, which has 69 member cities across the globe. Hed also manages the Bradford Film Office and regularly works with leading broadcasters and film production companies who want to tap into the districts rich pickings of film and TV locations.

Gerry Sutcliffe | Patron of IMAS and former MP/Sports Minister

Speaking About: The 'International Mixed Ability Rugby Tournament'

Gerry will be speaking on behalf of IMAS about their upcoming 'International Mixed Ability Rugby Tournament' which will be held in Yorkshire from the 17th till the 22nd of August 2015. There's also a dedicated conference and other educational workshops coinciding with the event. The tournament will be the host of at least 10 European Mixed Ability teams, as well as the RFU 6 English Regions, who will play a Rugby Festival and promote the model to a wider audience and encourage social inclusion.
