The Academy Theatre is an excellent facility located less than 1 minute from Junction 36 of the M1 motorway at Barnsley, South Yorkshire. Officially opened on the 18th February 2004, this theatre houses 172 tiered seats, computerised lighting and sound systems. It offers the surrounding area a varied program of top-class entertainment both amateur and professional. The Theatre is also used as a performance platform for The Take 2 Performing Arts Academy and is available as a conference/training facility for presentations and lectures.
