On Tuesday, October 16th, Malik House Business Centre on Manor Row hosted one of the most important International Business Network Receptions seen in the city this year.

Organised by Malik House Business Centres & Yorkshire Enterprise Network (YEN) on behalf of Pakistan Britain Business Council (PBBC), this unique event welcomed the official business delegation of the FPCCI (Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industries) to Yorkshire.

The Invitation-only event was attended by the FPCCI delegation and more than 30 of Yorkshire's leading businesses (of Pakistani origin) who were addressed by a panel made up of Mark Robson (DIT Yorkshire and Humber), Nasser Malik (YEN & Malik House Business Centres) Zahid Saeeb (FPCCI President) and Julian Hamilton Barns (Chairman PBBC).

With a population of 200 million, Pakistan is the world’s 6th largest nation and with a GDP of $360 billion, Pakistan is the world’s 15th largest economy. Mr. Saeed illustrated the strengths and potential of his country and it’s strategic importance to the world in relation to the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) while Julian Hamilton Barnes highlighted the opportunities that are available for British businesses who are looking to trade with Pakistan.

Following the presentations guests and delegates were involved in a robust Q&A session chaired by Nasser Malik, and this was followed by lunch and networking to discuss opportunities between Yorkshire and Pakistan.
