How You Can Get Motivated To Reach Your Goals

Motivation is fire from within. If someone else tries to light that fire under you, chances are it will burn very briefly. —Stephen R. Covey Getting started on your goals is relatively easy, as long as they are meaningful to you. Being able to keep up the momentum is another thing though. What you need is to maintain your motivation levels… Motivation is the energy that drives you to achieve your goals and gives you the energy and resilience to keep going when things get challenging. Your energy can be sapped by so many things in our personal

lives including our personal limiting beliefs or general fatigue. But also, we can lose motivation if we do not see reward for the action we have already taken, or we can just become overwhelmed.

If you need an energy boost then think about the people around you…

The people we spend our time with can affect us, some people drain us of energy whilst others can energise us. Of all the people you know, consider: Which three are the ones that you always feel happier after you have spent time with them? It could be family, friends or even colleagues.

Which of them are the people that you could phone no matter what your challenge or frustration was, because you know by the time you have finished talking to them you will feel happier and more ready to face the next step? By spending more time with people who make you feel happy and positive you will find you have more energy which you can then take into tackling the next step towards achieving your goals.
