Howarth Wholesale was established by John Howarth in 1985. Based in Sheffield’s Parkway Market, we originally sold mainly frozen food to the retail sector.

However, as time went by we started to supply the catering trade and increased our range to include tinned goods and soft drinks.

The year 2000 brought about a lot of change for Howarth’s, with the closure of the Parkway Market we opened a new purpose built depot and cash & carry in Worksop. This was also the year when the butchery department was set up, which now represents a major part of our business.

By 2007 Howarth’s were supplying predominantly to the catering trade and had vastly increased our offering to this sector. Also by this time Rachel and Chris, John’s children, had joined the company making it a truly family concern.

Today we stock over a thousand product lines, tailoring to various types of catering customers. Our aim is to sell excellent goods at very competitive prices while achieving great customer satisfaction. We believe that we must work together with both our suppliers and our customers for our shared success.
