From its origins as a market trading business with limited wholesaling interests, Morris & Son has grown into one of the largest residual stock management specialists in the UK.

By the late 1980s, we opened a separate wholesaling operation in West Yorkshire and, in early 1995, relocated to the current premises.

The business was incorporated in April 1999 and now trades from four purpose-built warehouses, with a total floor space of 80,000 sq. ft, close to the West Yorkshire motorway network.

In June 2009 we expanded our business to include a wholesale outlet based in Manchester, which also incorporated a bulk bagging facility.

We then further expanded from the Manchester site in May 2012, moving to a larger location in Stockport, giving us more floor space, allowing us to stock three times as many lines as before and providing a larger manufacturing area for bulk bagging and improved regional access.

Shortly following the acquisition of the Manchester site in 2009, we also acquired Stockley’s Sweets.

The name Stockley’s is synonymous with such wonderful names as Winter Nips, Herbal Candy, Cinder Toffee, Bronchial Lozenges, Sarsaparilla Sticks, Pear Drops, Barley Sugar, Caramels and their world famous Coltsfoot Rock.
