Social Media Experts Ready To Share Their Knowledge At Our March Event

With our March 2016 networking event fast-approaching, we’re pleased to announce the focus of our next Bradford Means Business event at the Grosvenor Casino. Ken Eastwood of Digital Nomads and Rachel Hatfield of Shoo Social Media will be headlining the event with presentations on growing your business and brands using new techniques on a variety of social media platforms.


Ken Eastwood – Director of Digital Nomads

Talking About: “Social Media & Sex! Top tips for a great performance.”

In this light hearted but informative presentation, Digital Nomads’ Ken Eastwood will share useful advice and insights into the use of social media. He’ll shine some light on the critical success factors and take a look at lessons learned from several high profile PR failures. The session aims to give confidence to beginners whilst also encouraging existing users.

Ken Eastwood is Managing Director at Digital Nomads Limited, a local consultancy offering a range of services including digital conferences and workshops, online communities, website design and mobile working data capture apps for business and public sector organisations.

A former local government Assistant Director, Ken delivers training on all aspects of the digital agenda including blogs, social media and web design. Clients have included well known companies e.g. Waitrose, as well as start-ups and SME’s, Councils and Councillors, enterprise agencies and voluntary and community sector organisations.

Digital Nomads strongly believe in giving all clients the opportunity and skills to maintain their own online presence, should they wish to do so. An early adopter of social media, rural broadband campaigner, advisor to government and author of published articles in the technology press, Ken is an authentic commentator on digital topics.

Talking About: “How to get your business involved in live streaming and Snapchat”

Social media is constantly evolving; we have all heard of using Facebook and Twitter but those millennials think these platforms are so passe’. So, in this talk we’ll will give you some tips on how to get involved in live streaming with a focus on Snapchat for business, how you can develop more innovative marketing campaigns and find out just why there is a shift to more visual platforms.

Rachel Hatfield has a background in Conference and Events Management; delivering outstanding customer service and communication with clients has always be vital to her career. Having worked in Edinburgh, Sydney and London she has returned back to Ilkley to set up her own business, using her skills that she obtained during her travels and developed effective strategies to use during live events.

We set up Shoo Social Media to help companies to enhance their brand awareness online and build powerful connections through social media management, strategy and training with a specific focus on events, venue, conference and speaking based businesses.


There will also be an introduction from Yorkshire Network Director Sheraz Malik, and Emma Prestwich (General Manager of Rank Group) will give a keynote presentation on the history of the Grosvenor Casino.

This month’s event will be hosted by Grosvenor Casino on Thursday 31st March 2016. The Grosvenor Casino is located on Vicar Lane, Bradford BD1 5LD, next door to Cineworld in the Bradford Leisure Exchange. Registration begins at 6:00pm
